This unique water clock is located in the Woodgrove Shopping Centre, Nanaimo, B.C. It was designed by Professor Bob Mc. Keckny of the University of British Columbia. The four Roman dials sit on top of a 'whimsical' mixture of wheels, pulleys, belts, and pipes. Each quarter hour, water turns on and rotates water wheels that play a tune on brass tube chimes. The four 15-foot long pendulums are kept swinging by water spilling on them. |
